Why doesn't Jesus appear to you ?

the new testament tells us stories about miracles, people speaking in different languages by the holy spirit, jesus appearing to many of his disciples.

but, why this was only a first century phenomenom???.

Texas school alternative fundraiser for the the PTA. Great idea

this was sent to the parents.... for $15.00 check box____i do not want to bake, so here i would have spent on the cupcakes.. $25.00____i do not want to hit up friends, family and co-workers so here is the money.

i would have spent buying wrapping paper.. $50.00____i do not want to walk, swim or run in any activity that has the word "thon" in it.. $75.00____i don't want to attend any fancy balls, so here is money i would have spent on.

a new outfit.. $100.00____i really wouldn't have helped anyway so here is $100.00 to forget my name..

Things have changed since I was a child in school. I can not remember any

fundraiser for our school, 1-12 grade...I don't recall knocking on my neighbor's door

pushing See's candy. Also at the start of for the year all was required were, pencil, paper

and books. Now you need 48 pencils,ton of paper, paper towels and crayon.

Of course this was back in the 50's---60's.

Lets play a game..Lets re-enact the slaughter of children yay!

over on the pro jw forum a poster asked what kind of games could be played at a party.... ...in true genocidal fashion this was one of the suggestions!.

just went through the experiences of elisha, and how he saved the lives of the miscarried children of jericho, and then some ungrateful children spoke to him disrespectfully, and 42 of them lost their lives, and so many other things.

maybe you can do a costume party on the life and activities of elisha.

True story: The ex and I were in the borg about a year, so we had a gathering in

our home. We had plan to have a fake argument in the present of the friends and

then reveal this was planned and have a discussion how would you handle this with

new ones. We(wife and I) were in the kitchen and we preceded with our plan and

made sure the friends could here us from the kitchen. We could here and it got very quiet

in the in the living room.LOL

One of the elders present snatched his hat, coat and wife and was heading for the door.

As he was heading for the door he was heard mumbling, they need to keep that stuff behind

close doors, not the place for this. So I came out to explain to him it this was all a plan to have

a discussion. That same elder was caught years later for having an affair and the affair had

been going on for years.

This is one of the sick stories in the bible. Elisha is a little temperamental about

his baldness, so what does he do? He kill 42 immature kids.

So my costume party, I show my baldness to all the young people present and

the older folks dress like bears and throw all the young people out on their ass

for laughing. Then we( older folks) can bring out the Jack and have a real party.

How do you curse someone in the name of the LORD? Elisha did that.

Royal Commission taking our emails to heart

during the proceedings of australian royal commission, as many of you, i also took time to share with the office of mr stewart, my thoughts and perspective on what what being said and not said by the witness elders on the stand.

within a day a received a reply from office of angus stewart thanking and appreciating the insight from those on the "inside".

yesterday i received a further email that my correspondence was passed on to case study 29 (jehovah's witnesses) team for their consideration.. it sounds like they are taking all our collective experience and knowledge into account as the commission continues its work..

You think the RC would reveal how many emails they received ? I for

one received two emails from the RC with in a couple of days. I was thinking it

took cha ching 12 days to receive an replay, maybe there were many..

i was about 12. i took a friend along to a meeting and he said he didn't mind learning stuff but it was a shame it was so boring.. i was about 14. i had my very own bible study and took him along.

he just kept whispering about the girls there that he fancied.. i was in my early 20's.

ok this what took place yesterday and it so strange.. like most of you here my family have been devastated by the cult, half.

OK this what took place yesterday and it so strange.

Like most of you here my family have been devastated by the cult, half

in the cult and half never a JW. The half that never were JW's knows very well

about the shunning.

So yesterday my oldest sister best friend at the City of Hope hospital and she noticed

the name tag of one of the nurse, my sister maiden name.

So my sister friend asked, do you know Miss xxx (my sister)?

Nurse: yes she is my aunt.

sf: Oh! I know your family well, so james(me) is your uncle?

nurse: yes he is my uncle james.

sf: so how is he doing?

nurse: he is doing great.

My sister friend know all about the shunning of me over the years and how it has damaged

our family. It's been 27 years of shunning and since then I have great nephews , great nieces,

nephews and nieces I have never met and the majority we all live in the same area.

If this nurse(my niece by marriage) was standing behind me in line in the super market i would have

no idea who she was, I have never met her and they have been married for over 15 years.

My sister friend called my sister after returning from the hospital and told her, these people are sick.

She knows all to well about the cult...

I guess one positive outcome of this, they have heard of me..LOL

Nice Old Dears Tried to "Witness" to me Today

an older man and wife - ray and mary - got chatting to me today.

they were tourists admiring local wildlife.

i gave them a few tips on where to go to see some interesting things and it wasn't long before they were telling me about how awful the world is "nowadays" and paradise yadda yadda.

JW's have their school or training for over coming objections in the door

to door work,we have a school(here) to counter their objection that leave them speechless.

Just once I would love to here how to over come Apostates lies instead of running

away like a child with hands over your ears and yelling, it's a lie, la-la-la I can't
